Ferragudo’s Praia do Molhe is a well-kept secret cherished by locals. This small, peaceful beach is nestled between the cliffs, offering a more intimate and private experience. It is quiet, clean and very small. It is not very well known, therefore it does not get too crowded even during high season. The Molhe beach is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, snorkelling and surfing. During low tide the beach becomes much wider and it joins with the next closest beach – Praia do Pintadinho. The beach is located not far away from Portimão marina. It is very calming to watch the boats coming in and out of the ocean.
This beach is accessible via many steps down; therefore it might not be suitable for wheelchair users or those who are less able to walk. The beach has free parking, but has no toilet or shower facilities. There is a lovely cafe/restaurant at the top of the Molhe beach, where you could grab a refreshing drink or try some fresh fish specialities.
