This beach is a beautiful sweeping arc of sand and one of the first beaches as the sea coast begins. It’s home to incredible arches and caves, which are great for exploring during low tide. It’s also the perfect spot for swimming. Pintadinho beach is located in a wind protected bay, therefore the ocean does not get too rough there. The water is clean, sand is very fine and the beach is ideal for swimming, sunbathing and snorkelling. It is perfect for families with small children. It has toilet facilities and free parking.
There are two beach restaurants to choose from, a more traditional Algarvian place serving fresh fish dishes or the trendy and stylish Edd’s beach club. You will find nice walking paths at the top of the cliffs and the beach has a lifeguard during high season.
